Gastonia, NC Airbnb Recommendation/event and wedding venue
Whether you're planning an event, wedding, or a fun weekend getaway, if you're in the Gastonia/Charlotte NC area, I highly recommend looking into Bansen Farms. The property itself is 20 acres including the perfect setup for a small wedding or intimate gathering. With beautiful lights, well kept lawns and walking trails, and a modern farm vibe, it is the perfect place to make memories and escape for a while. My mom and I discovered this place in early 2023 when we were planning a trip to see family in North Carolina and were looking for place to stay. We came across Bansen farms on Airbnb and thought it was so unique and the perfect spot for our upcoming girls trip.
Location
Bansen Farms is located in Gastonia, North Carolina, which is only about 20 minutes away from Downtown Charlotte and the airport. Other than its convenient location for travel, the farm is only minutes away from Belmont, Goat Island, the Stowe Botanical Gardens, and other areas with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Although the rental house has a kitchen and all the accommodations you would need for a weekend getaway, there is plenty of options for food and entertainment only a short drive away.
The Farm
On the property, other than the house and buildings/structures used for weddings and events, there are walking trails and a lot of green areas. The well maintained paths that go around the property, into the woods, and down to a creek were one of my favorite parts to explore. I can't emphasize enough how beautiful and unique it all is.
The House
The best way I would choose to describe the house itself is modern, cozy, farmhouse chic. When you enter you are greeted right away with a welcome sign and book with information on the house, property, and location. I immediately felt comfortable and loved the house the more I explored it. It was clean and decorated perfectly to fit the over all vibe. The house sleeps 7 people and has 3 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a single, larger bed, while the upstairs bedroom has 3 twin size beds. Not only are there the bedrooms, but there us also a sunroom with a large swinging bed, which is where I slept. It was so relaxing, especially since there was a little water fountain, which is an example of one of the many little touches they added that made a huge difference.
The Hosts
My mom did most of the communicated with our Airbnb hosts, but from what I gathered, they were super kind, welcoming, and informative. They even invited us to a goat yoga event they were hosting one of the evenings we were there. It was very clear that they cared about their guests experience and the quality of our stay.
