As someone who is really into health and fitness, and has a past with weightlifting, I know how hard it can be to get extra protein in a really yummy way. I have spent so much time researching high protein recipes and desserts, and after a while, I finally came up with my own. It's easy, delicious, high in protein, and can even be done vegan. It is a high protein chocolate mug cake that can be done in just minutes. Whether you're trying to top off your macros, or are just looking for a healthier dessert, this is a great option and one of my favorites.
Ingredients
23 grams protein powder (Chocolate or vanilla)
2 teaspoons cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup almond milk
Optional: toppings and fillings of choice (I like putting chocolate chips inside and peanut butter on top)
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a mug or small microwavable dish. Microwave for one minute, followed by 30 second intervals until fully cooked through. The amount of cook time can depend on the type of protein powder you use.
Add toppings and enjoy.
